Bratswurst the Wisconsin way (3p)

Bored of frying Bratwurst, I searched the net for an american style recipe and I really liked the result of this one.



Ingredients
−6 fresh bratwurst sausages
−2-3 onions, thinly sliced
−Spoonful of butter
−1 pint of beer
−Some ground black pepper
−Baguette or long roll bread




Preparation
  1. Prick bratwurst with fork to prevent them from exploding as they cook. Place in a large stock pot with the onions, butter, and beer. Place pot over medium heat, and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
  2. Cook bratwurst on preheated grill for 10 to 14 minutes, turning occasionally to brown evenly. Serve hot off the grill with onions and brown mustard on small baguete or long roll bread. Add warm sauerkraut and ketchup, if you like.
